Duravit has announced its first North American competition – the Duravit Designer Dream Bath Competition – in which designers and architects are invited to use the company’s most recent product launches to renovate their own home bathrooms. Winners will be chosen based on creativity, use of the company’s product to overcome design challenges and the overall success of the space.

One overall winner will be chosen out of the entries and will receive the up to $15,000 worth of Duravit products used in his/her project. Honorable mentions will also be selected from the competition, and all of the winners will be announced during Duravit’s Annual Design Week from October 8-10.

The collections the designers and architects will be using in their projects include:

– Starck 2: Designed by Philippe Starck, this is an update to his previous Duravit collections and features an oval washbasin, a bathtub with an integrated neck rest and shower trays.

– Happy D.2: This line of ceramics and bathtubs highlights the signature “D” shape and includes a linen furniture finish and LED-illuminated mirror cabinets with an integrated sound system.

– DuraStyle: Designed by Matteo thin, this line uses clean design and lightness, while allowing for custom combinations through a range of washbasins, mirrors, bidets, furniture, bathtubs and rimless toilets.
