Foley&cox Announces Staff Promotions

September 1, 2022

Award-winning interior design firm Foley&cox announces the promotion of two team members. The firm has appointed Zuni Madera as vice president and Stephanie Daniels as senior interior designer. These promotions allow the firm to continue to provide the highest level of service and personalized attention to its longstanding and new clientele. This year marks the firm’s 20th anniversary, and these promotions expand upon the vision and success of the firm.

“It is incredibly rewarding to celebrate the accomplishments of my team and recognize their contributions to the firm,” said Michael Cox, principal of Foley&cox. “Zuni has been an integral part of the Foley&cox team and has dedicated her talents to us for the last 15 years. She has honed her skills and is a fantastic designer, business leader and team captain. Stephanie’s promotion to senior designer positions her to expand her knowledge and experience and lead the Foley&cox team in maintaining the company standards and practices. These appointments lead us into the next phase of Foley&cox; one that prioritizes a shared vision of mentoring the next generation of interior designers.”

Madera joined the firm in 2007 after graduating with a BFA in interior design from The Fashion Institute of Technology. She developed her career since then while holding several positions at Foley&cox. Madera was appointed design director in 2016 and led client communications, project design and development, and project administration from concept to completion. In her new role, Madera will direct the creative and aesthetic development of the firm and its design projects. She is a member of the Design Leadership Network and represents the firm within the industry and amongst professional peers. Madera will lead the firm into its next phase, including creating and developing design direction and elevating standards in luxury design for its high-end residential clientele.

Daniels began her career in interior design after receiving her certification from the University of California, Los Angeles. Daniels has worked with notable firms such as Butter and Eggs, Brad Ford ID and Amy Lau Design before joining Foley&cox in 2019 as a designer and project manager. As a senior designer, Daniels will lead design development and support project administration while managing vendor and client relationships. She will also take on additional responsibilities of staff development within the firm and represent the firm at industry events as a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

To celebrate the anniversary, Foley&cox announces a new monograph focusing on the incredible work of the past 20 years. The Language of Home (Monacelli Press) will be available in Spring 2023. The firm has also partnered with the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) to create an endowed scholarship. The scholarship will support the next generation of interior designers while focusing on the future and the next two decades of Foley&cox.
