July 26, 2018

Global small home appliances and cookware manufacturer, Groupe SEB, announced upcoming changes to its executive leadership team in the Americas. Greg Cairo, current president and general manager of Groupe SEB USA, is being promoted to vice president of Northern Latin America, effective October 1, 2018. Walter Lehneis has joined the company to assume Cairo’s former role as president and general manager of Groupe SEB USA.

In his new role, Cairo will oversee the Groupe SEB businesses in Columbia and Mexico. Over his eight-year tenure as president and general manager, he has been instrumental in successfully elevating the company’s identity within the U.S. and effectively managing the transition of each individual brand (All-Clad, KRUPS, T-fal, Rowenta, Lagostina, WearEver and Imusa). He will succeed Xavier Desmoutier who is concluding his position within the Americas and returning to Europe.

Walter Lehneis comes to Groupe SEB from Newell Brands where he most recently held the position of global senior vice president and general manager, Newell Appliances and Cookware. With more than 20 years of experience at successful companies including Novartis, Pfizer, Unilever and McLane Company, he is a welcomed addition the Groupe SEB management team.

Groupe SEB operates in nearly 150 countries with a portfolio of household brands marketed through multi-format retailing. Cairo and Lehneis’ new positions signify further growth and continued momentum for Groupe SEB within the Americas.
