KSI Kitchen & Bath Welcomes New CEO Tony Achatz

KSI Kitchen & Bath (KSI), provider of best-in-class design concepts and products throughout Metro Detroit, southeastern Michigan and Ohio, has announced industry veteran Tony Achatz as the company’s new CEO. He assumed his new role on June 8. The company also plans to move and remodel its Birmingham location, expected to be complete by the end of the summer. Additionally, Cabinets Express, a subsidiary of KSI will open a new location in Sterling Heights, Mich., expected to be online by August.

“As a family-owned business, teamwork and collaboration have always been core to who we are,” said Bryan Tolles, principal of KSI. “The past few years have been very transformative for our company, and as we continue to grow, now is the right time to take our next important step to strengthen our team by welcoming Tony as our chief executive. His expert leadership and goal-oriented mentality will elevate the KSI brand and usher us into the next phase of our company’s growth and advancement. We’re excited to work together to build the future of KSI.”

Tony Achatz is a 15-year veteran of the cabinets industry. He joins KSI from Cabinetworks Group (formerly Masco Cabinetry) where he served as director of sales and led the dealer channel across the US. Achatz began his career at Masco with BrassCraft Manufacturing, a plumbing products company, where he rose through the ranks and grew a global client base through market share expansion. Over his career, Achatz’s skilled leadership and management expertise have allowed him to form partnerships with major industry brand names. He is a graduate of Oakland University and received his MBA and a master’s degree in finance from Walsh College. He resides in Clinton, Mich. with his wife Christine and two sons, Gryffen and Leo.

In the spirit of growth and change, KSI will move its design center to a new location in Birmingham, Mich. and begin a full upgrade and remodel located at 1020 South Old Woodward Ave. The studio offers personalized design consultations with KSI’s seasoned team of design experts and showroom space displaying a wide selection of cabinetry, vanities, countertops and hardware. The project is slated to be complete by the end of the summer.

“The growth and expansion of our business applies to our physical spaces too,” said Lauren Tolles, principal of KSI. “Our relocated and remodeled Birmingham design center will focus on customer experience and provide room to display the latest in kitchen and bath trends. We know these improvements will better position us to serve clients and make their design dreams a reality.”

Lastly, Cabinets Express, a subsidiary of KSI Kitchen and Bath will be opening a new location in Sterling Heights, Mich. located at 34732 Van Dyke Ave. With a focus on expansion, the brand known for cabinetry that is “Quick. Easy. Affordable.” will offer additional convenience to homeowners and trade professionals in southeastern Michigan and beyond.
