Laurence Carr Joins Maison&Objet Ambassador Program

August 11, 2022

Laurence Carr, founder and CEO of Laurence Carr Inc., has joined the Maison&Objet Ambassador program.

Maison&Objet, the design trade show, is held in Paris twice a year and exhibits across the entire lifestyle sector — where brands, designers, artisans, interior design experts, retailers and visitors connect and collaborate. The event has its finger firmly on the pulse of emerging trends and consumer shifts, serving up a winning and unique offering. Maison&Objet has 14 dedicated sectors and showcases an exciting range of products and solutions spanning the full home and lifestyle spectrum, with 600 new brands coming on board each year in Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte.

Happening in parallel with Maison&Objet tradeshow, Paris Design Week is a B-to-C week-long event in the city, designed for professionals and a wider audience of design fans showcasing spots that make up the ecosystem of Parisian excellence in decor — decorators, interior designers, galleries, great maisons and exceptional craftspeople.

As sustainability ambassador, Carr will attend Maison&Objet tradeshow and Paris Design Week this September. She will highlight and amplify the presence of sustainability and circular economy practices of furnishings brands, galleries, maisons and craftmanship.

Carr is a French American citizen, has lived in four continents and brings the breadth of her work and life experience along with her acute circular design expertise to the architecture and design industry worldwide.

The conversation and importance of identifying and putting forward sustainable and circular economy practices in the architecture, design and furnishings industry is increasingly becoming crucial for successful B2B and B2C audience engagement.

Earlier this year, Carr joined the judges panel of Maison&Objet Sustainable Parcours to select more than 200 sustainable brands exhibiting at the fair. She is a leader and an expert in the U.S. and Europe on the topic of circularity in the lifestyle sector and she will help expand the sustainability and circularity presence of Maison&Objet trade fair to the U.S. audience, as well as other international markets.
