Liebherr continues its North American growth strategy by naming Carlos Gil as Head of Sales, Commercial Customers-Americas. With over 15 years of experience in the Food and Beverage CPG retail industry, Gil has been responsible for the product strategy execution and channel relationship development in multiple markets across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Now, as a part of Liebherr’s growing focus on the commercial market, Gil will join the Miami-based team led by Divisional Director, Alex Squarize.

“I am very proud to be joining Liebherr to spearhead the efforts to expand our presence beyond residential,” said Gil. “Liebherr has an excellent reputation in the retail market and is poised to challenge the status quo in the commercial sector.  It’s an exciting time to explore all the opportunities.”

Prior to joining Liebherr, Gil led the international expansion of Colombina, one of the top 50 candy and snack companies in the world. Now as Liebherr’s Head of Sales for the Commercial Division, Gil is responsible for leading the operational implementation of sales targets, specifically in the frozen food and food retail industries, as well as other commercial sectors, throughout North America and in select Latin American markets.

Gil received his Master of Global Management from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans. He also holds an Engineering degree, along with other degrees, from universities in his native Colombia.
