April 18, 2022

Marguerite Rodgers Interior Design (MRID) in Philadelphia announces five staff promotions of long-time team members. Effective April 1, 2022, the award-winning firm appointed design director Marco Angelucci and executive director and marketing director Katie Guzinski as principals. Kaitlyn Murphy, Lauren Sillies and Brian Bendel were promoted to senior designers.

These staff promotions represent the next generation for MRID. Angelucci and Guzinski will oversee the leadership team and build upon the firm’s legacy while contributing to the overall growth and vision alongside its founder and creative director Meg Rodgers. Guzinski will continue to oversee the firm’s operations while also guiding the firm’s brand identity, client cultivation and business development. Angelucci will lead the next phase of the Design Studio, including establishing and developing company design direction and standards to complement the luxury design for its high-end residential and hospitality clientele.

“I am delighted to celebrate the work and achievements of my team, whose work has contributed significantly to our success at home in Philadelphia, up and down the East Coast and beyond,” said Rodgers. “These team members have dedicated their talents and have been the backbone of MRID through consistent leadership, innovation and strategic thinking. We are stronger than ever in the 41st year of our journey. It is the right time to begin the next phase of the firm building on our growth in residential, commercial, hospitality, educational and cultural design.”

Murphy, Sillies and Bendel will continue to build the firm’s profile and deliver a unique level of excellence to its projects. As senior designers, they will take on additional responsibilities in project management and staff development within the Design Studio. These promotions will allow the firm to continue to provide a high level of service and personalized attention to its longstanding and new clients.

“It is an honor to continue our growth as principals with Marguerite Rodgers Interior Design,” said Guzinski. “We share the success with a dedicated leader like Meg and a talented group of collaborators.”

Angelucci added, “Katie and I are proud of the team we have worked with over the years. We are looking forward to building upon the firm’s vision and our success together.”

MRID has cultivated its relationships and worked closely with its clientele, following them from Philadelphia to the Caribbean to London and Hong Kong. The staff is widely known for its artisanal level of craftsmanship and devotion to creating space that redefines original dimensions and purpose.

The firm is currently working on high-end residential projects in the United States and the Bahamas, along with institutional projects including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Kimmel Cultural Center (Pennsylvania), The Athenaeum and The Garden Restaurant at The Barnes Foundation.
