Walker Zanger has appointed seasoned surfaces industry professional Michael Castro to general manager. In his new role, Castro will be responsible for managing the overall performance of Walker Zanger, including revenue, profitability, performance and team leadership.

Castro comes to Walker Zanger with more than 25 years of industry knowledge including executive management and sales experience in the natural stone, tile, engineered quartz and fabrication industries, consulting with architects and designers on specification projects globally. Previously, Castro served as North American sales director at Lapitec S.p.a. and architectural outside sales manager at Stone Source. Castro has excelled in improving sales organizations by establishing illustrious national sales contracts for companies, facilitating and maintaining strong trade relationships and identifying untapped sectors of the industry that are opportunities for growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome Michael to the Walker Zanger team to support the momentum we’ve made within the stone and tile industry,” said Glen Morrison, Mosaic Companies CEO. “Michael’s extensive experience and expertise in the architecture, design and construction industries will open new avenues for the Walker Zanger brand, propelling new strategies to innovate and evolve our offerings.”
