Wildwood House Announces New Procurement Director

September 27, 2021

Wildwood House announces Melissa Bailey as procurement director. A natural complement to the online shop and Portland-based store, the company’s procurement division helps facilitate the purchase, warehousing, delivery and installation of commercial and residential projects. A seasoned veteran, Bailey will lead the division into the future, bringing her wealth of knowledge into the fold.

“We’re delighted to welcome Melissa into the Wildwood House family,” said co-founder Brittney Herrera. “Wildwood House is addressing a need to support the newly shifted work landscape through well designed spaces. We implement evidence-based design principles that enhance how our clients live and work—and our procurement services are a huge part of what we do. Melissa’s experience in the luxury consumer, hospitality, and trade markets will prove invaluable as we continue to grow.”

An interior designer herself, Bailey comes from global Spanish surface brand Cosentino, where she developed multiple programs for regional builders, growing sales 25% in her territory in the first year. She spent almost two decades working in the hospitality design segment where she designed and oversaw the furniture and furnishings procurement and installation at hotels nationwide.

“When the opportunity to join Wildwood House came up, the timing was truly impeccable,” said Bailey. “The role allows me to be an advocate for design, client relations, and use all the skills I have nurtured over the years. I am excited to expand on the vision of Wildwood House as a trusted resource for clients to confidently seek design direction and procurement services for all range of projects—with a genuine and holistic approach.”

Prior to Cosentino, Bailey worked at multinational French corporation Tarkett, where she was responsible for strategic marketing plans and sales, ranging from distribution channels to direct sales, buying group relationships and more. Bailey has in the past also worked for Atlas Carpet Mills, Heritage Home Group—which consists of luxury designer furniture brands Henredon, Drexel Heritage, Maitland Smith and Lane Venture—Momentum Group and WCI INC, where she was the director of design.
