An Inside Look at Four Atlanta Kitchens

March 20, 2023

This past weekend. Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine hosted the 2023 Tour of Kitchens, a look at 12 local spaces created by Atlanta designers. The event benefited the Atlanta Community Food Bank and took place over two days. The tour hub was Guy Gunter Home, a metro Atlanta appliance showroom.

We took a closer look at four of these magnificent Atlanta kitchens.

Blue by You, Kelly Carlisle Design

For this stunning blue kitchen by Kelly Carlisle Design and Bires Remodeling, the homeowners wanted their new space to look and feel like an apartment in Paris with room for two cooks. Even with limited square footage, the designer was able to include a bar area in the kitchen as well.

The Call of Nature

Thelen Designs | Kitchen & Bath Concepts, Oneida Builders and architect Paul Springer created a kitchen that caters to the great outdoors with glass doors that lead to the backyard and a window over the sink that folds up. The design team also included vaulted ceilings for an expansive look and feel; a blue, white and warm wood color palette; and a hidden appliance garage.

Showstopper by KKIDD Designs

The midcentury modern kitchen features a marble application on the hood; a metal toe kick on the island; and metal-framed glass doors on some of the cabinets. A Touch of Stone was the fabricator that cut a slab of marble into strips and applied those around the island.

Appliances: Bosch & Liebherr; Backsplash: MLW Surfaces; Cabinets: Joshua Cabinetry; Countertops: Walker Zanger; Lighting: Cedar & Moss & Revelation; Plumbing Fixtures: Brizo

An Ode to the Dog by The Designery

Storage was important in this Atlanta kitchen, so the team widened the island and moved the double ovens to accommodate a tall cabinet. Two cabinets that house small appliances feature pocket doors, and the walls are adorned with grooved paneling. The periwinkle island is a nice pop of color against the white cabinets and white marble countertops, and the beverage area is an added bonus.
