July 28, 2021

The Summer 2021 issue of Cambria Style, the award-winning design and luxury lifestyle publication created by Cambria, is out now. Cambria Style inspires consumers and design professionals alike by setting industry trends with intelligent and visually striking features on style and design, including exclusive project reveals and home tours, product roundups, seasonal food and beverage recipes, profiles on creative influencers and more.

Highlights from the Summer 2021 issue include:

Trend Report: Six top interior designers share their favorite emerging trends, including statement making wall coverings, feminine and tranquil furnishings, dark and dreamy mosaics for the kitchen and beyond, bringing nature inside through plants and foliage, and Scandinavian, no-nonsense style.

Faces: The self-proclaimed “Laundry Evangelist” Patric Richardson, whose new book and television show about all things laundry are both out now, encourages readers to embrace the act of doing laundry, and shares tips and tricks on stain removal, caring for clothes and ditching the neighborhood dry cleaner.

Crafted – The Artisan Touch: The return of American artisans has turned consumption with intention into a new luxury. This gift guide of American-made products showcases the best in design and craftsmanship throughout the country including personalized furniture, handmade tiles, unique cookware, stylish lighting and luxurious textiles.

Home Feature – A Legacy Fulfilled: Brooklyn-based designer Gunnar Larson completes a family home in Minnesota originally built by his father. This prairie home features reclaimed materials throughout, including from a 1919 schoolhouse Larson’s parents had salvaged.

Home Feature – White Out: Homeowners of an Al Beadle-designed duplex apartment in the Biltmore neighborhood of Phoenix use White Cliff – the whitest of white Cambria surfaces – to magnify light to maximum effect, creating a sleek modernist dwelling.

Home Feature – Ultimate Retreat: Former NFL star DeMarcus Ware designed his Texas home to be a serene sanctuary for his family.

“When I come home, I close the door and I want it quiet, I want it tranquil, I want it timeless,” he said. The home, outfitted with Cambria throughout, includes an industrial chic billiard room and custom wine cellar.

Home Feature – Silver Lake Sanctuary: Multi-hyphenate entrepreneur and founder of female-forward media company Create & Cultivate Jaclyn Johnson debuts the redesign of her hilltop Silver Lake bungalow, describing it as “California Modern meets Boho.” The author and CEO purchased the home in March 2020 and spent the next eight months – during the pandemic – renovating and decorating it including replacing her marble kitchen countertops with Cambria. The result – a whimsical, light-filled sanctuary.

Destinations – The Grand Hotel Enters a New Era: Since its founding in 1887, the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Michigan has welcomed generations of families with its iconic 660-ft.-long front porch and timeless features, from the parlor to its signature bright colors. Designer Vern Yip expertly updated the hotel while honoring its all-American charm and character.

Eat – When Life Gives You Lemons: Preserved lemons add the perfect summer citrus zing to a savory roasted artichoke appetizer, Moroccan-inspired chicken tagine and lemon infused angel food cake. Each dish sings when expertly paired with a special wine.

Drink – Fresh as a Daisy: What says summer more than a Margarita? Translating to “daisy” in Spanish, these three margarita recipes take you from smoky to spicy to sweet; with mouth-watering herbal elements and garnishes, these cocktails are the perfect evening refresher.
