For the 2021 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, ten of the West Coast’s leading interior design firms created their own virtual visions for 1080 Chestnut Street, a Russian Hill penthouse. The modern, urban interior reflect the international character of the city’s diverse design community.

On the market for the first time in 50 years, the 5,445-sq.-ft. penthouse boasts soaring ceilings and grand entertaining rooms complemented by oversized windows. Positioned northernmost to offer sensational vistas, the corner living room and family room with fireplaces are adjoined by a central wet bar. Eleven-foot glass panels slide open to the panoramic view terrace – one of six outdoor spaces surrounding the Penthouse.

Due to ongoing public health concerns around COVID-19, a typical live, in-person San Francisco Decorator Showcase event was not possible this season. Instead, there is an interactive virtual 3-D experience created by Steelblue, a creative agency that works exclusively with elite developers and architects to promote premier properties.

Since 1977, the Showcase has raised more than $17 million to benefit the San Francisco University High School Financial Aid Program, which helps to bring a rich diversity of backgrounds and perspectives to the top-rated school and increases financial and cultural capacity to support every qualified student.
