Drummonds introduces the newest version of its freestanding The Bute bath, which features a pressed-steel surround. The Bute bathtub has been formed from quality, durable cast iron, which is then hand-finished with a seamless steel skirt wrapped completely around it. The classic, curved roll top contrasts strikingly with the straight, steel sides. The Bute comes primed in a pure white finish but can be painted in any color. The double-ended cast iron bath takes several weeks to make, using the traditional process starting with raw metal and completed by snow white dry-frit enameling. The cast iron is hand poured to achieve a superior thickness, and the new pressed-steel surround features simple dado and plinth detailing, which defines the bath’s curves. The bathtub is also available with a classic paneled hardwood surround.
