Sleek and futuristic, the next-generation, handle-free SieMatic S2 has upped the ante on its offerings. Integrating electronics into the design, the kitchen now offers a multimedia center, the SieMaticGrid, which controls the internet, iPod docking, a CD and DVD player, as well as TV and radio options. Media selections are made by remote control or via the SieMaticGrid user interface, and the center’s monitor pulls out and swivels, so the screen is viewable almost anywhere in the kitchen. The multimedia center offers space behind the monitor and within a pullout drawer to hold a wireless keyboard, air-mouse, remote control, and CDs and DVDs. The SieMatic S2 also includes an extendable lower cabinet shelving system and pullouts for additional storage space.
