BEST’s Cattura downdraft from Broan-NuTone combines performance with a sleek design to capture cooking fumes. As effective as a traditional island hood, the Cattura takes form as a thin retractable unit that improves indoor air quality. Thanks to its FlexBlower system, which allows for up to nine ducting options, the unit can be installed with a free-standing range, drop-in cooktop, gas or electric cooktop, slide-in range or a built-in oven with a cooktop. The Cattura’s chimney raises to 18 inches to handle a variety of cooking ventilation requirements including tall pots.

The patented VERTEX Complete Capture Design provides up to 100 percent capture efficiency, allowing the downdraft to rival island range hoods at capturing emissions. It features an LED task light that illuminates the entire cooking surface. Heat Sentry Technology automatically detects excessive heat and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. Finally, the Cattura contains a built-in front touch-control panel and the option of installing a remote control button that can be placed elsewhere on the countertop for easier access.
