Grand Rapids Chair Co. Bowen Table

The Bowen Collection is Grand Rapids Chair Co.’s latest classically framed table, designed in collaboration with Filter Studio for outdoor use. With this table, the brand introduces a sustainable top surface material called Acre that is sure to hold up to whatever kind of weather comes your way.

Acre is made from upcycled rice hulls that mimic the warmth and beauty of wood but provide weather resistance that a wood table is not able to offer. It’s pest resistant, water resistant, UV resistant and guaranteed not to rot, crack or splinter. Lightweight and free of phenol, formaldehyde and adhesive, Acre a sustainable material and produced at zero-waste facility in Mississippi, and the Bowen tables are produced in the company’s Grand Rapids, Michigan, manufacturing facility. Other notable features include soft welcoming edges and corners and gaps between slats that allow for water drainage.

Bowen comes in three heights — dining, counter and bar. It is also available in pedestal and communal designs, which come in in 11 distinct wood stains. The pedestal’s steel base is available in more than 150 powder coats to suit whatever color palette your space requires.
