Designhounds Share Favorite Finds from KBIS 2024

The Designhounds Influencer Network shared their Favorite Finds from KBIS 2024. This year, a group of 20 Designhounds tackled the show floor in search of their top product picks. Designhounds Favorite Finds was launched at KBIS 2020 to allow participating influencers to select their personal favorite products from around the show on a purely editorial basis.

Nicole Conte of Northshire Living: Material Bank

The Material Bank sample box is quite literally something I could not run my business without. Being in a rural area, we have almost zero access to showrooms, no design center and are often between areas of rep coverage – meaning getting samples can make me want to pull my hair out! I joined as an early tester, and I have come to rely on it for all my presentations, as well as being able to send clients samples directly when working remotely on their secondary homes. I can’t recommend using the service enough to brands wanting to get their products in front of designers and make them our go-to for projects because we can always get a sample when we need it!

Easy to retro fit to your existing Kohler system and affordable at roughly $325 for the handheld and attachments in black or brass, this multi-function system allows for you to give yourself a facial for the price of one facial at a spa! You can also find a body massager attachment, a pumice stone and more, all while it also offers a perfect shower.

Joy Maier, The Aspiring Home Interiors: LaCornue Flamberge Rotisserie

This 30-inch square beauty stopped me in my tracks. Not only is it good looking and will give you a chef-inspired kitchen, but it is easy to use. And guess what? You don’t have to have a new build kitchen or completely rip out your old kitchen. This rotisserie does not require a flue and can be incorporated into your kitchen cabinetry. It is crafted from cast iron and steel, so you know this little kitchen helper is in it for the long haul. It contains a powerful gas burner with three motorized spits. Because of its vaulted design, the synthetic wicks pull the heat upward. This allows for gently smokeless cooking, making this appliance perfect for today’s busy kitchen.

Juliana Ewer, J Squared Interior Designs: Smeg’s Dolce & Gabbana Blue Mediterranean Collection

The ability to bring a true designer element into a line of kitchen appliances is amazing … and now appliances are suddenly worthy of being on display on the counter versus being hidden in an appliance garage. I think it’s incredibly fun to make your toaster as fabulous as your favorite handbag! For me, the blue and white pattern is a favorite and is always elegant and beautiful.

Keffie Lancaster, Lancaster Interior Design: Kohler WasteLab Transcendence Tile

I loved the bright, saturated colors and the nod to MCM vibes that this blue and green swirly tile evoked. The fact that Kohler is using waste materials in a positive way is my first draw to the product. I appreciate manufacturers recognizing their global footprint and finding ways to reuse waste in a positive way.

Michael Wright, Cleveland Kitchen and Design: Material Bank

I have been working with them for a few years, and it has been a great partnership to help me close sales. More often than not, they have the samples I’m seeking and I can have them before my meeting. I was informed at the show that they are now going to be partnering with cabinet hardware lines, so those will help me out immensely!

Jane Donohoe, Jane Donohoe Designs: Thompson Seda Range Hood

Its exquisite detailing and nod to the classics make it a standout favorite.

Sara Lynn Brennan, Sara Lynn Brennan Interiors: LG Styler

I loved the LG Styler because I am a huge fan of manually steaming my clothes, so the thought of having something built in that can do it for me was amazing! Plus, it can go right into your closet, wow! I know clients are going to love this!

Julie Anne Baur, Winding Lane Interiors: Molten Vessel Sink in Winter Blue by Thompson

This is my top selection for Favorite Finds from KBIS 2024 for several reasons:

1. It is stunningly beautiful.
2. It is incredibly unique.
3. It would work in many different styles of decor, from traditional to transitional to contemporary.
4. The saturated Winter Blue color is fabulous!
5. The copper filigree accents elevate it to become the jewelry of the room.
6. It is handmade in America by an incredibly talented artisan at Swan Valley Copper.
7. It was developed and sold by Thompson Traders, a wonderful family-owned American company.

Jennifer Burt, Mississippi Maximalism: Iconic British Made Veritas Toilet Set by Thomas Crapper & Co.

I am studying for an MFA in historic preservation, and every bathroom in a historic building could use a renovation! This set is charming and period appropriate, plus there are different colors you can use to personalize each project.
