Poggenpohl Debuts ‘Wellness in the Kitchen’ CEU

March 24, 2020
Poggenpohl, the international luxury kitchen brand, is pleased to announce a new Continuing Education Unit (CEU) for 2020.
“Wellness in the Kitchen” will cover topics such as designing for aging in place, wayfinding, safety, healthy eating, ergonomics and other key aspects of creating a healthy home environment surrounding the kitchen space. The course is approved by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), which will provide 1 Health, Safety & Welfare (HSW) Learning Unit (LU) to attendees, and the International Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), which will provide .1 CEU value to attendees.
“Today’s kitchen is the heart of the home and the center for family, food, and entertainment,” said Sam Walker, director of retail for Poggenpohl North America. “The kitchen also faces additional demands from diverse user groups – requiring accommodations for all ages. This new CEU will help architects and designers to understand why wellness in the kitchen is an important topic for their clients, as well as how to incorporate design elements, like technology and storage solutions, to make kitchens a healthy and happy environment for everyone.”
Please contact your local kitchen design studio to have this CEU brought to your firm or to learn if there will be a local event in your area.
