Cosentino Group Opens New Americas Headquarters in South Florida

November 10, 2017

Cosentino, the global leader in the production and distribution of innovative services for the architecture and design industry, announces the opening of its new Americas headquarters in Miami. The new Americas operations center, located in the heart of the Coral Gables district, will centralize the company’s management and operations across North, Central and South America. On November 9, Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and Global Sales EVP, hosted a Grand Opening celebration to unveil the newly renovated 24,000 square-foot headquarters to esteemed guests.

Earlier this summer the multi-billion-dollar family-owned Spain-based manufacturer began relocating its corporate operations from Houston, Texas to Miami as part of Cosentino’s four-year strategic business plan, outlining expansion, investment and distribution to further position the manufacturer as a category leader in North America and beyond.

“This is without a doubt one of the most important milestones in our trajectory in the Americas,” said Cosentino. “The Miami offices mark a profound change in our company culture and strategy. From now on we will be in a position to centralize management more efficiently for the whole continent and improve communication with our headquarters in Almería, Spain. This is a great step forward for our operations in the Americas, and is the best way to achieve our objective of continued growth and strengthen our leadership within the industry.”

North America makes up 55 percent of the Cosentino Group’s total sales and is where most of Cosentino’s infrastructure and staff are located. In the past six years, the company has almost tripled the number of Centers or warehouses in the US and Canada, from 17 at the end of 2011 to 43 currently. This progression, in terms of logistics and service excellence, has been accompanied by constant growth in sales figures. This new infrastructure (a $2.5 million investment) further reinforces Cosentino’s presence in South Florida, where the company already has three Cosentino Centers and one cut-to-size processing plant. Cosentino also plans to open its fifth Cosentino City in North America in Miami’s Design District by the end of this year.

For the current financial year 2017, Cosentino North America is forecasted to reach a turnover of $600 million (€505 million) (only USA and Canada). In addition, the Group will be consolidating as a “One Billion-dollar Company”, as last year Cosentino Group (worldwide) reached €993 million (€834 m) total turnover, a result that will be surpassed in 2017. The relocation brings more than 177 high-wage jobs to Florida and invests more that $11.5 million in the local community. The new central offices located, at 355 Alhambra Circle, Suite 1000, will manage 51 existing Cosentino Centers or integral service storage facilities, four Cosentino showrooms, two distribution hubs and 12 cut-to-size processing plants. The new headquarters will own 70 infrastructure assets in total and employ a total of 1,400 people.
