Waterworks Unveils Renovated Manhattan Showroom
October 5, 2018
Waterworks has unveiled the renovation of its New York City showroom in the Flatiron design district. The revitalized location, which first opened its doors in 2006, was designed to inspire a client base of designers, architects and homeowners with its most extensive kitchen and bath offerings and services ever under one roof.
“The new showroom symbolizes the highest possible standards Waterworks sets for its products, showrooms and client experiences and it demonstrates our absolute commitment to design authenticity, innovation and quality,” said Peter Sallick, Waterworks CEO and creative director. “In reimagining the space, we placed a greater emphasis than ever on creating an inspiring and exciting environment that compels our clients to think about kitchens and baths in a different way. The showroom showcases Waterworks breadth of design solutions with a focus on our range of metal finish options, exclusive cabinetry and an all-new approach to presenting surfaces based on combinations and tools for the most sophisticated design client.”
The team at Waterworks envisioned a 3,500-sq.-ft. jewel-box boutique that would emphasize the beauty and craftsmanship of its kitchen and bath assortment, as well as the opportunities to combine and customize its products. Taking center stage is an innovative fittings “gallery wall” featuring 100 designs in five finishes per collection. The all is artfully arranged with Waterworks special take on designs ranging from 1920s French country to more modern sculptural styles.
Surfaces merchandising has also been re-envisioned, presented in over 40 convertible concept displays which marry fittings and accessories with surface selections (including wall and floor combinations) to provide turnkey, design solutions. Lighting fixtures are thoughtfully lowered to eye level to better spotlight the distinctive styles and unique details of the product. Finally, the brand’s flourishing kitchen portfolio, an addition to the Flatiron showroom, has pride of place with new fittings and cabinetry collections prominently featured in various installations.
Design partners’ workstations are positioned throughout the showroom, providing a more approachable, communal and collaborative environment for visitors.
