“Every year, the Best of KBIS award winners set the tone for innovation and certainly deserve the industry-wide spotlight that only this show can offer,” said Brian Pagel, senior vice president, Emerald Expositions. “We are proud to play a key role in recognizing the ‘best of the best’ at KBIS.”

“We were the first in the industry with 3D-printed faucets, and we are delighted to be recognized for our continued design leadership in this genre,” said Katty Pien, chief marketing officer for DXV, the Best of Show winner. “While other 3D-printed faucets still follow the conventional archetype – a spout and two handles – the DXV Blade is a pure expression of reduction in design. KBIS attendees told us all week how they were mesmerized by the vortex-shaped water flow from Blade.”

2019 Best of KBIS award winners were selected from among more than 100 entries and 50 finalists by the 2019 judging committee:

Laurie Haefele, Associate, AIA; founder, Haefele Design
Aimee Inouye, AKBD, founder, AID+D; and NKBA Thirty under 30 alum
Kelly Morisseau, CMKBD, CID, MSK Design Build
Nathan Reynolds, CAPS, CLIPP, interior designer, Insperiors, LLC; and NKBA Thirty under 30 alum
Aston Smith, kitchen designer, Bilotta Kitchens

“It was such an honor to be a part of the judging committee and getting a sneak peek at some of the most innovative products out on the market today! There were so many top choices which made it very difficult for us to select the ‘Best of the Best.’ Through paper, we learned the ideas behind each product, but what made a real impact in our selection process was the in-person experience. Seeing it, touching it and experiencing firsthand its functionality is how we narrowed down the best from the best. Although we made some tough decisions, it shows that our industry is making positive advances in design and innovation.” – Inouye, founder
