Hanwha Surfaces Names New Marketing Director

Hanwha Surfaces, the North American subsidiary of international conglomerate Hanwha L&C, has announced Mark Abbas as the company’s new marketing director.
Abbas brings more than 20 years of marketing experience in the architectural and interiors products industry, most recently as marketing director at Surya, a home and commercial accessories leader. Abbas previously held marketing and business development leadership positions at top design and interior product companies, such as Interface, TOTO and InReality, a retail customer experience strategy and design firm.

Abbas joins Hanwha Surfaces as the company is moving significant production to the North American market, including the launch of HanStone Quartz’s state-of-the-art second production line in London, Ontario in September and the launch of the company’s first U.S. production facility for its Hanex Solid Surfaces brand in Texas in July 2018. Abbas’ unique experience and deep understanding of the needs of residential and commercial interiors products specifiers makes him an ideal addition to the Hanwha team.
