Manufacturers and Distributors Expand Marketing Teams

Manufacturers and distributors Louisville Tile, Portobello America and Duravit have announced new members of their marketing teams. 

Louisville Tile Distributors Inc. has appointed Morgan Tiemann as chief marketing officer, a new role for the organization. Most recently, Tiemann served as vice president of marketing and communications at Limestone Bank Inc. and brings to Louisville Tile a diverse marketing background in industries such as healthcare, education, and finance with an emphasis on brand strategy and corporate communications. 

This latest addition to the team marks the 10th strategic hire for Louisville Tile in recent months, bringing the total number of employees to 228. Louisville Tile was recently named among the Best Places to Work for the seventh year in a row and was also named as a 2022 Family Business Awards large business of the year honoree by Louisville Business First.

Portobello America, has announced that Holly Badertscher has joined the firm as vice president of marketing, a new role within the organization. A 14-year veteran of the floor covering sector, she will be responsible for leading marketing and branding, communications, product development, market insights, merchandising and more.

Badertscher comes to Portobello America from Lowe’s Companies, where she served as merchandising vice president for decor. Prior to that, she was vice president of merchandising,

vinyl & laminate at Floor & Decor for six years. Earlier in her career, working for The Home Depot, she was one of the first online merchants to lead the flooring business and later led the vinyl flooring business for all U.S. stores.

Duravit North America is pleased to announce the addition of Kara Roth as its new director of marketing activation. With more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing across multiple industries, she steps into this role with a vast knowledge of business to business marketing for manufacturing brands. This new role is an exciting opportunity for Duravit to realign the global marketing strategy as well as continue to drive brand visibility and sales optimizations across residential, commercial and hospitality channels.

Most recently senior marketing director at American Valve, Roth has nurtured management skills and a keen eye for detailed execution over the course of her career. Working in marketing positions at Altenloh, Brinck & Co, as well as sales manager at Alpha Environmental Corp., she has proven experience overseeing e-commerce, website development, video production, tradeshows and events, as well as sales.
