James Hardie Building Products Inc., manufacturer of fiber cement siding, announced a partnership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA). James Hardie offers a diverse portfolio of functional products with aesthetic integrity that allow design professionals to bring their unique visions to life. Its durable, low maintenance fiber cement products resist moisture and flame and stand up to the most extreme weather conditions.
“James Hardie and the AIA are a natural partnership. Architects look to the organization for resources to grow their business, and James Hardie has been at the forefront of exterior design,” said Sean Gadd, chief marketing officer at James Hardie. “We’re proud to partner with the AIA, which has been serving architects – who are key customers for us – for more than 160 years.”
The AIA serves as the voice and advocate for professionals in the practice of architecture and design and works to advance the value of architecture to society. By offering hundreds of courses and collaborating with innovative partners like James Hardie, the AIA helps their members work smarter and better.
“We are very pleased to have the support of James Hardie as an Innovation Partner in 2017,” said Robert Ivy, FAIA, EVP/CEO of the AIA. “Their knowledge and expertise in the residential construction industry can help us serve architects and advance good design in the built environment.”
The new partnership adds James Hardie support to AIA initiatives and will generate education and engagement opportunities to enhance architects’ knowledge of residential and commercial building products.
