Italian luxury appliance manufacturer Fulgor Milano recently hosted 10 North American designers on an inspiration-filled trip to Italy, the brand’s birthplace. Fulgor Milano is continuing the momentum and increasing brand awareness with the North American kitchen design community coming off of a successful year at KBIS and EuroCucina. The trip took place last month in the Veneto region and allowed the designers to explore the region and experience the rich culture that drives the brand. They also traveled to Vittorio Veneto and Venice, where special design-centric tours were planned.

Hosted by the Vetta Group, which represents Fulgor Milano in the North American market, the designers got a chance to visit Fhiaba refrigeration and Falmec ventilation, also represented by the Vetta Group.

“It was essential to present our Italian craftsmanship live and in-person at the Fulgor Milano headquarters where these designers could experience the passion that goes into every product,” said Stephen Polloni, president of Vetta Group. “This once-in-a-lifetime trip provided insight into not only the beautiful, high-quality designs and hands-on manufacturing processes of Fulgor Milano products but also the cultural experiences of this magnificent region and the amazing people behind the brand’s appliances.”

In addition to the five-day tour for North American designers, the Vetta Group hosted three trips with a select group of appliance dealers from Maple Distributing, Pinnacle and Pacific Speciality Brands distributor territories. During their time in Italy, the dealers toured the Fulgor Milano, Falmec and Fhiaba showrooms and factories, providing an in-person glimpse into the authentic Italian craftsmanship and heritage the brands offer in their appliances. Guests also had a chance to explore the region taking in the spectacular culture, sights and flavors.

“You can see the quality and craftsmanship of these appliances when you specify them in a kitchen space,” said Sarah Robertson, principal and founder, Studio Dearborn. “But it’s not until you are fully immersed in the brand’s origins that you truly understand the integrity of the design of the appliances. We visited the factory, saw the production process up close, met the skilled employees who take the utmost pride in their work and witnessed exactly what goes into every finished product. An astounding amount of culture and history is infused into the production processes; I’m so fortunate to have experienced it first-hand.”
