On our most recent podcast, we spoke to Laura Eagan, owner of and senior designer with Estrella Cabinetry and Design Center, about how to navigate KBIS 2024 and make the most of your three days. The show will be here before you know it, so get the skinny here!

Eagan has been to KBIS a whopping 20 times, and her favorite part is seeing the product introductions from all the exhibitors. Although she goes with team members, so likes to walk the show floor by herself and reconvene with everyone afterward to share what they all took away from the experience.

In years past, Eagan has had a specific goal in mind – discovering a new cabinet vendor or visiting luxury brands one year and more mainstream ones the next. One year, she was focused on cabinet hardware.

Although she does not have a goal for the 2024 show, Eagan plans to split her time up among the three halls. To do this efficiently – because the convention center is huge – she may choose to do one hall each day, and she definitely appreciates the Tesla underground ride service introduced that debuted last year. She also says the KBIS mobile app has been a game-changer for her in navigating all there is to see and do at KBIS. Search KBIS 2024 in your app store.

At KBIS in February, Eagan is excited to visit some of her tried-and-true brands like Rev-A-Shelf, and she also hopes to discover some new ones she can add to her list. She has also enjoyed taking in some of the programming on the NEXTStage and the various pavilions. And the Voices from the Industry conference always has a lot to offer.

Because there are three halls to navigate this year, wearing comfortable clothing is a must. Eagan shared with us her pick for best shoes, so definitely check those out! She also suggests to carve out some time each day to grab some food and drink and rest your weary feet.

We ended our discussion with the designer telling us which booths she is most excited to see. Eagan is also interested in technology this year and will be looking to see how brands are incorporating it into their offerings.
