Laura Fletty, senior brand manager, Builder Marketing, from Whirlpool Corp. recently talked to KBB executive editor Chelsie Butler about what the appliance leader will be featuring at KBIS 2024 from its extensive portfolio of brands, including JennAir, KitchenAid, Maytag, Gladiator and InSinkErator.

Appliance Innovations

Among the appliance innovations highlighted at KBIS 2024 will be SlimTech Insulation Technology, the first vacuum-insulated structure tech available for the refrigerator in North America. Whirlpool Corp.’s SlimTech can reduce wall thickness, in turn allowing for more capacity in the fridge, and is more energy efficient than thermal conductivity.

The Maytag Pet Pro System is a solution for eliminating pet hair from clothes in the washer with more water and a deep rinse; the dryer features an extra-large lint trap. KitchenAid will feature the 30-Inch, 4-Element Induction Slide-In Convection Range with Air Fry, as well as an Over-The-Range Microwave with Flush, Built-In Design. Whirlpool will also debut its 1.1-Cubic-Foot Flush-Mount Microwave with Turntable-Free Design, which accommodates larger dishes and blends in with the cabinetry.
