BainUltra Acquired by Entrepreneur

January 30, 2024

BainUltra, the pioneer in cutting-edge bathtub technology and craftsmanship, is pleased to announce its acquisition by entrepreneur Jean-Michel Lebeau in Q4 2023. For years, Lebeau’s mission was to revolutionize industries through technology, but his current goal is broader and deeper: to use his skills to promote wellness, peace and happiness in the world. Now, as president and owner of BainUltra, a company that’s championed Quebec’s craftsmanship across America for nearly half a century, he is positioned to do so.

“When I was an athlete, my coach used to say, ‘Never underestimate the power of a hot bath.’ I wholly believe that to this day. When BainUltra became one of my clients in 2013, I recognized how unique their mission and products were in the wellness and design space. I feel that the more people learn about and have access to BainUltra and bathing rituals, the better the world will be. These details made it clear to me that BainUltra was something I wanted to be a part of. I am honored to continue driving forward this incredible company,” said Lebeau.

BainUltra prides itself on its meticulous craftsmanship poured into every design to provide each and every customer with a soothing experience customized to their preferences and bathroom aesthetic. The brand has 22 collections of tubs which include drop-in, alcove and freestanding. Featured at upscale hotels and spas from Quebec to Vancouver, California to the Eastern Seaboard as well as at luxury retailers in the U.S. and Canada, BainUltra is turning water therapy into a transformative, healthful experience one bath at a time.

Lebeau has always been an entrepreneur. At 15 years old he spearheaded software projects for global clientele and went from managing million-dollar ventures to leading UX Design teams across sectors like banking and manufacturing. Lebeau possesses a strong foundation in tech and development, where he previously served as the Founder and CEO of Cortex and later as Executive VP at nventive. His expertise spans across product strategy, software architecture and agile methodologies in project management.
