Schumacher Cul-De-Sac by Victor Glemaud Collection

July 5, 2022

Schumacher, the venerable American design house, and Victor Glemaud, the Haitian-American fashion designer known for his eponymous leisurewear collection, are collaborating to launch Cul-De-Sac by Victor Glemaud, an imaginative portfolio of fabrics, wallcoverings and trims. This is the designer’s first home collection.

Cul-De-Sac, inspired by the fashion designer’s Caribbean heritage, wields home textiles to honor Haiti’s tropical island beauty and rich cultural history. The designs – named for powerful women in Glemaud’s life – are luxurious in colors, patterns and textures with a vast range of scale. Imbued in the scenic landscapes, elegant flowers and multidirectional stripes is Glemaud’s unique take on the clean lines and dynamic geometries that characterize his womenswear.

Of the Toussaint Toile, a defining piece pays homage to Haiti by featuring historical scenes that celebrate Haiti’s liberator, Toussaint Louverture, and the country’s native flowers, foliage and landscapes. The large-scale pattern is an inventive and illuminating take on a traditional toile.

Inspired by 1970s supergraphics, the Virginia Panel fabric and wallpaper set evokes an affinity for clean lines and elegance with an abundance of creative effect. The fabulous panels are all sold separately and are designed to be configured in multiple combinations to make a stylish and modern statement.

The collection consists of 14 patterns with three to four colorways of each, totaling 33 skus. The roster of products includes velvets, fresh botanical prints, wallcoverings and a versatile modern statement panel set. The collection will be sold internationally to interior designers and architects through Schumacher websites and showrooms, as well as designated Schumacher agents.
