Big Chill Early 2000s Palette

Big Chill, the design-centric kitchen appliance manufacturer, is celebrating its 20-year anniversary with the launch of a limited-edition color palette inspired by the playful aesthetic of the early 2000s, as a nod to when the brand was first established. The anniversary collection’s four colors capture the decade’s bold, show-stopping energy. Available on Big Chill’s website at no additional cost, the color palette is offered on all of Big Chill’s collections – Classic, Retro and Pro.

Each anniversary color was hand-selected by Big Chill’s founder and chief product designer Orion Creamer to reflect the aesthetic of the early 2000s while simultaneously bringing an unexpected, mood-boosting element into kitchen designs across North America. The color selections include:

Caribbean Blue — Reminiscent of contemporary design trends prevalent in the 2000s along with its association of the early days of technology and the internet, this shade of Caribbean blue is refreshing, forward-thinking and vibrant. It’s the perfect way to bring a splash of color into a variety of kitchen styles, ranging from cottage-core to modern eclectic.

Tangerine: The early 2000s were marked by a sense of optimism and self-expression. Tangerine, with its lively and attention-grabbing qualities, allows individuals to infuse their spaces with a sense of playfulness and personal style. Often associated with warmth and excitement, tangerine evokes a sense of creativity and is a great accent color to bring a new life into modern kitchen design. 

Berry: As a rich shade of pink that is characterized by its boldness and intensity, berry embodies a sense of whimsy and femininity that was rooted in pop culture icons of Y2K. The early 2000s witnessed a desire for nonconformity and making bold statements. Berry provides an opportunity to break away from traditional color palettes and embrace a more distinctive and unconventional look. This color serves as a visual focal point, adding a touch of liveliness to any kitchen.

Apple Green: Evocative of the bold and vibrant aesthetic popular during the early 2000s, apple green infuses spaces with nostalgia charm, especially when paired with other bold colors to create a visually striking, eclectic look.
