Poggenpohl New Finishes

January 9, 2023

Poggenpohl has introduced a variety of new cabinetry finishes and materials, from wood and textured laminates to matte and ceramic fronts. Under the guiding principle of Sensing Space, Poggenpohl has designed a wide variety of concepts for the kitchen living space. The kitchens presented are pointed metaphors. Spatial associations characterize nine complex scenes, the unusual designs focus on the spatial experience. Surprising material combinations create special moods, selected surfaces provide fresh haptic experiences.

The new wood decor laminates include sand grey oak, ivory ash, mineral grey oak, sand beige oak, terra brown oak and lava black oak. Two new melamine textured resins — silver  champagne and gold champagne — are now available, as well as double-sided high-pressure laminates in stone texture, such as shell beige grey, sandstone beige and moonstone anthracite. The brand has introduced new colors in its Matt Velvet Lacquers and Contour Series with Aluminum Frame, including pale bottle green (pictured above) and linen creme.

In its line of ceramic fronts, Poggenpohl has launched eight new matte options — Edora, Rem, Campagne, Trillium, Laurent, Mikron Craftizen, Kelya and Sirius. Ceramics belong to one of the oldest manufactured cultural techniques. The material consists of inorganic substances hardened by a firing process to acquire its characteristic properties. The surface can be smooth or textured and is available in various colors and designs. In Poggenpohl’s rendition, the cabinet door edge is flush, ground without joints and formed with a glossy acrylic edge. The decor is a mixture of different raw materials — glass, porcelain and quartz particles are produced using a special sintering technology that imitates nature’s natural rock development over thousands of years, creating the characteristic features.
