Maya Romanoff Wallcoverings

December 10, 2021

Maya Romanoff introduces three new wallcoverings that offer examples of the brand’s passion for artistry — Palais Damassé, Palais Strié and Braided Hemp II. Each design tells its own captivating story, from ideation to production.

Created for a range of styles and applications, wallcoverings are united in their attention to detail and high-performance durability. All three can be easily disinfected without harming their craftsmanship and texture.

Palais Damassé is an ornate, timeless damask made with a century-old embossing roller Maya Romanoff discovered and restored in France. Crafted just outside of Lyon, Palais Damassé replicates dupioni silk made even more lustrous with a breathtaking Italian Baroque print that blooms across its canvas. It is made of luxe woven polyester and available in six colorways.

Also fashioned in France with a revived 100-year-old embossing roller, Palais Strié ennobles a classic striped pattern with rich texture and fine detail. Emulating dupioni silk, the French Empire pattern is innately courtly and au courant, perfect for any space. It is made of luxe woven polyester and available in six colorways.

Braided Hemp II is the progeny of the revered Braided Hemp, which is handwoven in the mountainsides of Nepal. Braided Hemp II captures the intricate nature of its predecessor on a vinyl made with 50% recycled material and water-based inks. This new release makes the beloved original more accessible and durable without sacrificing beauty and originality. It is available in six colorways.
