Stuga, the online destination for sustainably crafted, harvested and engineered hardwood floors, has released their newest product – Stuga Solstice.

Solstice  is named for Scandinavian cultural traditions that date back centuries, celebrating the longest and shortest days of sunlight each year. This plank floor sets a warm and inviting mood with subtly blended hues of burnt umber and smoky mahogany. With prominent cracks and knots, its rustic expression is a storied display of the life of an oak tree. Hand-scraped texture and brushing coupled with a natural oil finish provide a surface that is incredibly grounding underfoot.

This floor has a natural oil finish and should be coated with satin oil immediately after installation. Maintaining the Stage Solstice floor is similar to maintaining antique furniture, since the oil ensures it looks beautiful for years to come. To protect the floor from any potential spills or stains, the manufacturer recommends re-oiling the floor once per year in high traffic areas like kitchens or entry ways. The finish will not yellow over time, even with exposure to sunlight.

Stuga Solstice planks measure 95 1/2-in. x 7 3/8-in. The wear layer is 1/8-in. and can be sanded twice. This floor has a lifetime structural warranty and 25 year wear-through warranty on the finish.
