Samsung Electronics America Inc. has released software enhancements for its Family Hub Refrigerator that will allow existing and new owners to get the most out of their refrigerators. The updates will happen when owners accept the notification on their Wi-Fi connected Family Hub.

The Family Hub offers a wide range of connected features that enhance family connections, entertainment, food management and access to the smart devices in your home. It lets you see inside your refrigerator from anywhere, manage your family’s calendars, stream music and stay connected to what is most important: your family and home, whenever and wherever. The software updates are integrated into the refrigerator’s 21.5-in. LCD touch screen on the front of the refrigerator.

With Samsung‘s new software updates, the Family Hub delivers a new level of connected living. Family Hub can help users save even more time by allowing them to select their favorite recipe and pre-heat their Samsung oven right from their Family Hub screen. Users can now mirror and control their Samsung TVs and Samsung smartphones and open their favorite mobile apps like YouTube, Prime Video and Hulu right from the screen. Users can also answer calls hands free via Bluetooth allowing them to enjoy talking to family and friends, while finishing dinner with ease.

In addition to advancements in connected technology, Family Hub is now available in the latest Tuscan stainless-steel finish, which launched this year. Inspired by earthy tones, Tuscan stainless combines a variety of natural hues to create a grayish bronze that boldly accentuates natural stone and wood surfaces, as well as warm paint colors. It also features stainless steel accents to complement a mix of appliance finishes that harmonize with the rest of the kitchen. Tuscan stainless beautifully enhances the textures and materials found in today’s home designs.

Family Hub is now available in a range of configurations, including Four-Door Flex, Four-Door French Door and Three-Door French Door. In addition to Tuscan stainless steel, it is also available in black stainless and stainless steel.
