Charm of the South
At the 2015 Southern Living Idea House, a lack of upper cabinets maximizes views and daylight to connect the space to the surrounding mountains. Making up for that storage are large banks of built-in pantry cabinets from Wellborn.
A large, square island in the kitchen center takes into account today’s multi-purpose kitchen and could provide for entertaining, homework and everyday dining.
Plush upholstered chairs surround a Georgia-made table in the dining room, which has china on one side and a cleverly disguised television, hid among framed artwork, on the other wall.
The mudroom boasts multi-use storage spaces and distressed limestone flooring to hold up to the high-traffic area.
Navy cabinets and a ceramic graphite backsplash give the pantry a sharp look, which is brightened by limestone counters and accessories like antique plates and brass pineapples.
The master bathroom’s soft blue walls echo the bedroom’s palette. Cabinetry was run up the walls to maximize storage in the separate vanities.
