Designer Tina Delia of Philadelphia-based Delia Designs had the goal of not only creating a more functional design for her client’s busy lifestyle but also brightening the space and inserting a calming palette.
The wall of cabinetry – installed neatly on the entire length of the outside wall – is broken up by a prism-shaped, multicolor marble tile. “The tile helps blend all the warmer tones with the cooler tones, as well as provide a focal point to the space,’ said Delia. “It helps create a completely upscale and stunning design.”
While the team and the client loved the look of marble, it was decided that all of the homeowner’s wine-tasting parties might take a toll on the countertops. Instead, a quartz option was chosen for its durability and realistic appearance.
A fun pendant in the shape of a dahlia flower adds character and shape to the dining area.
The off-white cabinetry helps warm the space and offer a more soothing palette than a stark white aesthetic.
