This kitchen is part of a historic hotel turned into an oceanfront mansion. Designed by Alison Antrobus and Ruby Ramirez, partners of the Miami-based firm Antrobus+Ramirez, the whole concept focuses on an open plan ideal for entertaining.
The kitchen makes up some of a living space that looks out on the ocean. Spaces for extra storage and open display were taken account in the design.
Thick Corian countertops add subtle detail that suggests lasting and durable quality.
Cabinets covered in gray veneer lack hardware to stay with a modern aesthetic.
A live edge eating area offers an organic departure from the kitchen’s sleek lines.
The master bath has a unique open feel with only low walls to separate it from the adjoining rooms.
“The pedestal sink had to read like a solid mass of white so as not to distract from the pattern of the stone [on the tub],” explained Antrobus.
