The design team from eggersmann needed to create a high-performance kitchen within the hexagonal lines of the structure. There’s a retractable vent built into the taller island, where the cooktop is located.

The swirling pattern of the amethyst slabs on the island is a visual contrast to the minimalist cabinets. Its rich color is picked up in a couple of unexpected applications in the room.

Upper cabinets feature electronic lifters, and handle-free base units have push-to-open mechanisms, preserving the clean lines of the design.

To pull the color throughout the space, Karat High Gloss Lacquer RAL 4012 Pearl Blackberry paint was used in the hideaway bar area in the dining area. Full-height pocket doors preserve the horizontal grain of the walnut fronts.
