What’s New in Global Design

GRAFF shows off new finish offerings at the show

March 25, 2019

We attended the Architectural Digest Design Show last week in NYC and wanted to share what we saw in just one day. Piers 92 and 94 were jam packed with four different show areas, including Refresh, Made, Furnish and Shops – each filled with an array of amazing residential products.

The global design trade show welcomed more than 400 brands of such categories as furniture, accessories, lighting, art, kitchen and bath products, hardware and flooring over the four-day program.

Show Areas

  • Refresh. This was where the kitchen and bath and products were displayed, including appliances, cabinetry, decorative hardware, countertops, stone, tile surfaces and doors.
  • Furnish. This was where to go if you were looking for furniture, lighting, decorative accessories, textiles and art.
  • Made. This was a section of a curated collection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind furnishings, accessories and decorative pieces by artisans.
  • Shops. This was a retail boutique for visitors and included décor, gifts, tabletop accessories and art.                                            The AD Apartment, designed by Sasha Bikoff

The show also included the AD Apartment, which was created by New York-based interior designer Sasha Bikoff, who used “an uptown girl living in a downtown world” theme. Gaggenau provided professional-grade appliances, including an induction cooktop in the kitchen and wine refrigeration in the bedroom. Other brands in the apartment included Cosentino, Reform, Brizo, Calligaris, Clementine Studio, Dyson, Emtek, Lenox, Livex Lighting, Lumber Liquidators, Mayflower Wallpaper, ShimmerScreen, Supreme Furniture Services and Tuft & Needle.

DIFFA’s Dining by Design tabletop designs was also a big hit at the AD Design Show. You can see all the tabletop designs HERE. We also attended a press lunch at the Signature Kitchen Suite booth, which was followed by a private press tour of four spectacular booths.

I’d say we accomplished quite a lot in just one day, wouldn’t you?
