Panansonic recently expanded its WhisperGreen line of ventilation fans with the addition of two new WhisperGreen-Lite models FV-08VKML2 (pictured) and FV-08VKSL2. Designed for 4-in. ducts, the units feature built-in variable speed controls that reduce the need for contractors to install numerous holes in the wall for switches. The low speed controls on the 80-cfm (Cubic Feet per Minute) models can be preset to 0 or 30 to 70 cfm. When activated, the fan boots up to a high speed of 80 cfm and, after a pre-determined time period, returns to the preset low speed operation. In addition to two 18W compact fluorescent Energy Star-qualified lamps, the unit also includes a nightlight feature.
