Remodeling Association Adds Two New Chapters

September 02, 2011

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has added two chapters: NARI-HIC Staten Island, which covers Staten Island, NY, and NARI of Greater Cleveland, which covers the Cleveland area.

“We are proud to welcome the Staten Island and Cleveland chapters into NARI,” said Michael Hydeck, MCR, CKBR, president of Hydeck Design Build and president of NARI National. “I can speak for our entire board of directors, who work tirelessly to build a strong community of remodeling business leaders nationwide. These groups’ missions aligned with NARI’s core purpose of advancing and promoting the remodeling industry's professionalism, product and vital public purpose that this was a perfect fit.”

The new members are a direct outcome of NARI’s strategic plan, which named membership growth and retention as a top priority this year. “A major focus this year is strengthening NARI membership, and one of the ways we are doing this is by affiliating smaller, related groups into our association by providing them with the support and resources they need in today’s market,” said Hydeck.

The new affiliations also tap into another top priority in the strategic plan: increasing homeowner awareness of NARI. Members from the Staten Island and Cleveland areas are committed to promoting their new affiliation to local residents. “A growing number of remodelers understand the importance of aligning themselves with a trade association like NARI, which is well respected for its high professional standards and Code of Ethics,” said Hydeck. “It’s also professionalizing the industry in the eyes of the consumers, who are starting to see that not all remodelers are the same.”
